3-18-14

My dear, lovely readers,
Oh how it feels so long since I've talked to you! I have missed you so much and oh how much has happened!
I wrote a post about St. Patrick's day at work and meant to edit it at home but completely forgot about it and now the day has come and passed. So now I am here to fill you in on the past couple of weeks.

I was so very blessed last week with a beautifully glorious visit from a good friend of mine, Emily Beusing (writer of That Teenage Blogger at awkotacoblogging.blogspot.com). It was such a blessing to me! I wish I had the words to describe how my heart was touched. One night as us girls sat on our bed with Emily's mom, we all shared our testimonies and what was on our hearts, what we had been through in our short lives. I even had the privelage of meeting some one who has struggled with my struggles. I know that Jesus knit our hearts together in those few days and I am almost in tears at the thought that the week is over.
Emily's mom, Tisha, and I grew very close with little words. We never had a one-on-one heart-to-heart, but we grew closer with the hugs and silent prayer together. Oh my, she is like a second mother and I love her so much. I pray that Jesus allows me to see them again soon. I am so thankful for his wisdom in putting these people in my life.

I have started drinking my coffee black. It is a big step for me and I feel very grown up. I ain't a kid who puts 7 pounds of sugar with 3 ounces of coffee, I drink it how it is supposed to be drank, so HA!

I have an update on my Journey to Germany as well! I am about to apply for my passport this week, I am so excited! 95 days until I actually fly out. I am still nervous about raising the last few hundred dollars for spending money. I need $500-$600. I am just trusting God to provide all I need. Please pray for safety on the trip, that I won't get lost or hurt. I know my parents are worried, but they are gracious enough to let me do this. God is so amazing and I am speechless in awe of his goodness to me.

Lastly I would like to share a verse that spoke to me this Sunday.

'Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of The Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them: for The Lord shall be with you.'

2 Chronicles 20:17

We are not the ones fighting, God is. We just got stuck in the middle and He is trying to protect us.

I hope to have a 'Time With Christ' post soon! I will try my best. Remember, owl be hawkward, you should be too ;)
